The question
goes back to am I the person who is capable of pulling out the
strengths and talents I have got. I have faced different
obstacle throughout my Graphic design career. My name is Dalia
Samir Hani a graphic design major from the American University
of Kuwait.
Life with me as a designer wasn’t as easy as a lot of
people thought. In my first year in university graphic design
wasn’t offered as a major but I knew deep down that I got the
talent of a designer. Since I was a kid I always had the
capability of imagining images that will be posted as a photo
that will describe the circumstances itself. I knew that each
picture, painting or any kind of photo describes different
senses to each person. Since that I wanted to express all my
feeling through design. I started taking a step forward in
university and it all start from a push from one of the
professors who had supported me through all the decisions I have
taken. In fall 2006 I have started taking my courses which were
diverse and had different concepts.
Throughout my
last two years in universities I have been taught
different talents and different ways of observing an
image or writing. As a student I always had to put
in mind to try to divide myself from university life
and my family. I used to always say “ What happens
in university stays in university and what happens
at home and family always says at home” because if I
have tried to mingle both those situations together
I wouldn’t be able to be the person I am right now. |
